Internationally acclaimed Burmese multimedia artist Chaw Ei Thein will perform in tandem with a video installation by Emily Hong, Miasarah Lai, and Mariangela Mihai featuring the dynamic gestures of six women Yangon-based performance artists. A discussion and reception will follow.
Cosponsored by the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies, Southeast Asia Program, Society for the Humanities, and Department of Performing and Media Arts, this event is part of the Burma/Myanmar Research Forum to be held at Cornell October 24–26.
